Serial babblers.

I know a lot of them serial babblers. They are horrible. You can't get them to stop talking no matter what you do.
It's like a mental disease they're having.
As soon as there is a pause in their monologue and one thinks that one could actually have time to say something, then they either don't listen( they think that when someone else is talking is only a good opporunity for them to think of what to say next) or interrupt immediately of the shock of hearing someone elses voice in their head.

Yes, sounds very nice... I know one who also gets going at her best at lunchtime, then she comes up with all the horror stories about what can happen to her poor pets and what has happened to other poor pets she know about. It's not that I have anything against pets, I love animals, but when I'm eating I just don't want to hear about their dieases or how they were hurt.... What to do?

I work with a first class example! She has a turbo powered mouth and a "gerbil on a wheel" powered brain at times. Actually a smart lady but is very sad and lonely for someone to listen to her. But she is mentally ill too unfortunately and saqys crazy stuff all of the time. Loves to gross us out at lunch with horrible and true stories. Nice, eh?
